Crochet Bow Pattern

This video was made for the kids who crochet for Hats, Hugs, and Hope, a chapter of Crochet for Cancer. Hats, Hugs, and Hope is a Christian ministry which makes and distributes crocheted and knitted items to cancer patients in the northwestern North Carolina area.

The pattern I used for this bow is a variation of this pattern:

Pattern used in video:
Materials need:
Caron’s Simply Soft (I used Red Heart.)
F-hook (Any size will work. I used a G sized hook.)
Yarn Needle
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
sl st- slip stitch
ea- each
st- stitch
sts- stitches
Finished product is approximately 4” x 2.5”
Body of the Bow Tie:
R1: ch12, sc11 across, ch1, turn
R2-20: sc11, ch1, turn
Slip stitch all the way around the bow. Finish off. Weave in ends.

Center of Bow Tie:
Find the center of the bow and carefully pinch. With a new strand of yarn, wrap repeatedly around the center of the bow. Tie yarn in a knot on back side of bow. Trim excess yarn. Tuck in knot.
