**Upgrade Checklist**
o Ensure you are using ESD Protection
o Contact Support if you do NOT have the latest/recommended BIOS\EC
o Download and install latest BIOS\EC
o Download new video drivers, do not install
o Uninstall existing drivers
o Turn off system and remove power cord
o Remove battery
o Disassemble laptop to the point where you can remove video card Thermal Solution
o Remove Video Card
o Apply thermal pads to heatsink and card
o Verify proper thermal pad layout between new card and heatsink before install
o Install card
o Apply Thermal Paste
o Install heatsink
o Re-assemble notebook
o Install battery and plug in
o Turn on system
o Check BIOS\EC for video card recognition
o Check Device Manager for video card recognition ( should be standard VGA adapter or MS Display adapter)
o If in Windows 8, disable Digital Signature before installing drivers, then install drivers
o If in Windows 7 install drivers (now video card will be properly recognized in Device Manager)
o Run Unigine Heaven 4 and monitor temperatures to verify proper heatsink installation. Other benchmarks would also suffice.
