Demonstration of tsukamaki: the art of Japanese handle wrapping. In this video I am doing the ura (inner) side end knot before passing the tsuka ito through the kashira (pommel). With this sword the ura and omote knots are swapped because the handle was just a bit too long. This small (but rather important) detail can be fixed by shortening the handle or by using a different width of tsuka ito.
This wasn't done due to a limited restoration budget of the client.
