The family of Berkeley balcony survivor Clodagh Cogley have shared pictures of her recovering from her devastating injuries.

Clodagh's family also thanked people for their support on Clodagh Cogley Fund, a Facebook page set up for the Irish student.

One of the pictures show a black Labrador lying beside Clodagh on a bed while the other shows her smiling as she sits up on a chair, reports the Irish Mirror.

The 21-year-old Trinity College student suffered two collapsed lungs, a broken shoulder, a broken knee, five broken ribs and also broke her spinal cord - which the student said means she may not walk again.

Five Irish students and one with dual US-Irish nationality fell 40ft to their deaths in the shocking tragedy on the Berkeley campus of the University of California last month.

Seven people were also hurt when a balcony ripped away from the exterior wall of an apartment block.

A post on Wednesday read: "Clodagh and her family would like to thank everyone for all their support and good wishes.

"The outpouring of support for Clodagh has been truly amazing and the donations to Clodagh's fund so generous.

"We'll be using this page to post updates on how Clodagh (and her famous therapy dog!) are doing, as well as updates on the fund and how donations are being spent.

"Once again a big, big thank for all your support and generosity."

It comes as Clodagh vows to honour her pals who died by living the "happiest life possible" as she revealed the extent of her injuries.

Inspirational Clodagh has pledged to honour her fallen friends as she said the chances of her using her legs again are 'pretty bleak'.
