Crispy baby corn is a quick Indo-Chinese recipe that is easy to prepare and delicious to eat. It's served hot as a starter!

Crispy Babycorn Recipe


200 gms babycorn
½ cup cornflour
½ cup Spring onions
1 tsp tomato Ketchup
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Ginger chilli sauce
1 tsp Roasted seseme seeds
1 green chilli chopped
½ tsp soyasauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp Oil
Salt to taste.


1. Cut the baby corn into pieces. In a pan take some water along with little salt and boil the baby corns until soft. (2-3 minutes) after that drain out the water and let them cool for some time.
2. Now add corn flour and coat it well and deep fry baby corn in hot oil. When the corn is half done, remove it from the oil and again coat baby corn with 1 tsp of corn flour for extra crispiness. Lets deep fry our coated corn again in the hot oil and transfer them in to a plate.
3. In a pan, heat sesame oil. Add chopped green chillies ,spring onions, chilli garlic paste, tomato sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, sugar. Sauté for about 2 minutes. Add salt, roasted seseme seeds and mix well.
4. Finally, once the mixture thickens, add the fried baby corns, chopped spring onions. Mix evrything really well. Serve hot.
