After three years of amateur to semi-professional beer reviewing, I thought it was about time I try making some beer of my own. I've helped out my friend Chad once (I'll have to re-post that video sometime), but I've never done it myself. Since it was a Sunday afternoon with absolutely no football games worth watching my friend Shaun spent most of the day helping me out.

First we went to Hammersmith Homebrew Supply in Latham and I dropped almost $200 on all the essential equipment. Then we went to Walmart to get bottled water and ice to chill the wort in the sink. Then we homebrewed on my electric range. I was actually surprised I could effectively make the beer on an an electric stove. I just hope we did everything right, especially with sanitizing the fermenting bucket.

Next Sunday we'll transfer the beer to a carboy for secondary fermentation. Then the Sunday after that we'll bottle it. How will it turn out? I dunno, so keep watching this channel to see what happens next!
