The nasolabial folds get more pronounced as we age. A good way to improve the facial tone of the muscles in the face and to get a natural face lift effect, is to do the exercises regularly in the video.
The puffer fish exercise is a favourite of Dr. Bowring's. Also using your fingers as resistance you can exercise the facial muscles by smiling repeatedly. You can also use facial acupressure points, or facial acupuncture, to help to stimulate the chi, or energy in the face, this helps to improve collagen production. Dr. Bowring demonstrates a particular point on the large intestine meridian that helps with reducing the nasolabial folds, or laugh lines.
