First start up of the 5.3 going into my '87 Chevrolet Truck. I hope to get it swapped into the truck within the next two months.

4.8 Flat Top Pistons (Used) (10.6:1 CR)
Home Ported 862 Cast Heads
LS1 2" Intake Valves (Used)

People often ask me how I run the LS motors without modifying the factory harness. First make sure that the VATS (Vehicle Anit Theft System) is disabled in the PCM by having a tuner turn it off when he "Flashes" the PCM. (You may want him to turn off your emissions at the same time.) Then give power to pin A9 of the C1 plug of the fuse block. Thats it. Make sure that you've given the fuel rail about 58 PSI of fuel and it'll run. Hook up the starter of course, but I shouldn't have to say that.
