Spent the morning surf fishing at Sandy Hook State Park. It was a trip of unknown results as we haven't had a clue what was going on with the fishing here. We got into a good sea robin bite that yielded sea robins in the 1-2lb range (the bigger ones were kept). we did try to get some fluke but we came up with nothing, until one of my rods to catch baitfish caught a 16-inch fluke. My friend and fan, Khoa joined us for a trip and he caught a good number of sea robins and a snapper bluefish. Lots of hits from small fish (snapper blues) but we couldn't hook up. I think we are still a bit early to see action here. maybe when fall comes we will have some results. For now, enjoy this video of us fishing and enjoying this trip out. (It was great to get out after being busy for a month).
