The Chicago Palm Pistol aka Chicago Palm Protector is a unique handgun manufactured around1893. It is a revolver, and I have not seen any video of one being fired or operated. Until now. Here is a short video of the Palm Pistol being dry fired so you can see the action. This one is in .32 caliber extra short rimfire, blackpowder. The bullets are loaded by inserting from the inside of the circle, pointing outwards. The hammer is in the middle. The finger lever is not a trigger, it is a safety that must be depressed for the cylinder to rotate. This is a DAO double action only gun. The trigger is the big handle. After making this video I realized I may have been holding it upside down the whole time, as the handle/trigger feels better in the hand when pointing up. Enjoy!
