LEGO Compatible Tiger Tank by Cobi WWII Small Army Review

Today we looked at the Cobi WWII Small Army Tiger Tank; set #2436. This amazing set has 500 pieces, 3 minifigs, several small weapons, and of course a very cool, and probably the best of all the Cobi Small Army tanks. This is a great addition to our LEGO Tank Wars video series, as well as a great addition to out LEGO and brick tank collection.

Cobi is just LEGO quality in everything except fit and finish, where it ranks slightly below LEGO's standards, but that is simply cosmetic.

Find it here on Amazon:

From the website:
Quality construction bricks
Part of a comprehensive military building range from Cobi
Compatible with most of the branded bricks/blocks sets to play
500 Pc, 3 Figures
Ages 6 +

Pros:
Very realistic brick Tiger Tank.
The set comes with 3 very cool minifigs.
It has those best in the industry plastic interlocking tank treads; better than the LEGO treads.
Good solid design, and very sturdy for a brick based tank.

Cons:
Hard to get here in the USA.
And because it's so hard to get in the US, it is also very expensive...but still well worth the price.

LEGO clones or Knockoffs
This quote from Wikipedia addresses the rights for other companies to produce LEGO-like bricks, but does not address whether LEGO actually had the right to patent them in the fist place:
At least two of the largest clone manufacturers have been challenged in court by Lego. The lawsuits have been mostly unsuccessful, as courts have generally found the functional design of the basic brick to be a matter of patent rather than trademark law, and all relevant Lego patents have expired.
