♡ PLEASE READ BEFORE DYING YOUR OWN HAIR ♡
EVERYTHING IS UNDER 30$ in this video.
Here's the scoop. I have been dying my own roots since 2008 - I was a single mom for MANY years and couldn't afford the salon. So I figured out on my own how to do my own platinum roots at home. It was very straight forward. I put bleach on my roots and some toner, I saved myself hundreds of dollars a month. This takes A LOT of practice, trial and error. I mean ERROR... Like once i almost burned my hair off. So please read up, watch a bunch of other Youtube videos, go online... or consult a hair stylist before doing this at home.
I have a new video up with me using Wella toner here: http://www.getlinkyoutube.com/watch?v=nFN44.... You can do the toning process with Wella Color Charm T18 or you can use the one I use here - Goldwell 10V toning foam - after bleaching. This foam is great, especially after you've just bleached your hair twice in one week - there may be a lot of damage - so I don't want to put more developer on it. Oh and one more thing... don't be a bad like me... make sure to wear gloves when bleaching your hair... I don't like wearing gloves because I can't feel whats going when I'm bleaching and toning the back of my head... I have to feel for my roots, or I end up bleaching the wrong parts of my hair.
*note* If you have black or dark brown hair - and you've put black or dark brown dye in your hair within the last few months, your hair may look a total orange disaster the first time you bleach - this is normal!! You need to lift the old black/brown pigments out of your hair. It's a process. Do the steps here and then wait a few weeks for your hair to grow out - then do this process again - I promise you it will lift out. It might be a bit patchy for a month, but just be patient. It's 100% impossible to go to a perfect platinum blonde in one step - it takes doing this video a few times before it's a nice blonde color*
If you have brown or black hair, I highly recommend going to a salon to get your stylist to do the first big LIFT the dark color out of your hair. You will need to visit a salon, because your stylist needs to lift all of the brown/black pigments out of your hair... pretty much stripping it out with bleach. It is quite a process, but totally worth it. If you can't afford the salon, I recommend waiting a week at least in between bleach lifts. Your hair will look orange the first few times you bleach it...it's OK, that's normal... just wear it in a bun... haha. You can still see bits of orange/yellow in my hair because I had it Ombre last year. It takes a while to lift that out, so just be patient. I will probably do a shampoo cocktail every few months to keep lifting out those old pigments. Patience, my loves!! XO MUAH!
Okay okay I am done yammering...

This video is for entertainment purposes and to just try and help my ladies out there. I am in no way trying to take business away from any talented hair colorists out there :)
I am not affiliated to the above companies. I just really love hair, hair styling and trying new things.
