Panning shot of Lofoten landscape - rocks, snow and sea. M/S of 3 British soldiers guarding a telegraph station. Various shots of British troops rounding up traitors and Germans in a small town. Various shots of blindfolded German military prisoners of war and civilian traitors being taken aboard a British warship. The warship will take the POWs and traitors to an internment camp. C/U of William Hawkes, a Briton and a factory manager on Lofoten, he is now returning to Britain safely. Various shots of Norwegian refugees on board a warship, they cheer at camera. The Norwegian girls link arms with British sailors. Various shots of demolition gangs blowing up buildings and burning oil tanks before they embark by landing craft for the warships.
Various shots of the Norwegians that were brought to England in the raid assembled at a hall where they are to meet King Haakon of Norway. M/S of Sergeant Stronholt of Norwegian Army in conversation with one of the Norwegian women. The woman explains, in excellent English, how she first heard the guns and was relieved they were British. Stronholt explains that he grabbed his hidden army uniform and boarded to British destroyer.
