Are you ready to hit new obstacles? Ready to hit a box or rail? Start with this box slide tutorial, where Protest team rider Arnaud Rougier teaches you the ins and outs of sliding a box without crashing.

Before you arrive on the box:
- Don’t take too much speed
- Lean forward and look forward to the box
- Take a good distance between your feet

As soon as you want to hit the box:
- To get on the box, do a little ollie
- Rotate 90 degrees, to arrive sideways on the box

When on the box:
- Keep a good space in between your feet
- Bend your knees
- Don’t forget to always look at the end of the box

When you arrive at the end of the box:
- Pop a little
- Decide which way you want to get out: forward, switch or 270-out

To get out forward:
- Face the landing with your shoulders and hips
- Your skis will follow

To get out switch:
- Face your shoulders and hips towards the beginning of the box
- Look backwards and your feet will follow

The trickiest, getting 270 out:
- Start the same as getting our forward
- But add a little rotation
- The rotation has to start from your arms and shoulders
- At first you’ll spin the upper part of your body and the rest will follow

Insider tip: The best way to prevent crashing on a rail or box is to always keep a wide enough space in between your feet.
