This video covers a chess game I played. I was playing white and my opponent was playing black. I opened with e4 and faced c5 the sicilian defense. I developed normally and my opponent entered a Taimanov variation of the Sicilian Defense. In this video I explain some of the ideas behind the Taimanov variation of the Sicilian Defense. I set up a common trap that I have used in the past where I offer the e4 pawn. If black takes the bait and takes the e4 pawn then white can generate a game winning attack.
