Here we go! 12 July 2015 duels. The camera batteries died out halfway through, so it didn't capture anything after Ravin vs Justin. Huge apologies for that. Will make sure fresh batteries are in it every time before we start to duel.

00:35 - Check out the very different double saber styles by Jarron Tham vs Adrian Lin, and Justin's crazy jump attack with the staff after that.

04:14 - Kids duel! They were all kinds of awesome :D

05:32 - Some solid longword attacks going on here. Glad to see combatants from different disciplines duking it out with us.

At the end of every session we have these 1-on-1 30 second drills. It's a high stress pressure test to see if combatants can put what they learnt into actual practice.

If you are wondering why the sabers are not clashing, the goal of the drill for now is to get the strikes as close to the hands of your opponent as possible. So what they are learning is how to control the distance between each other. With proper knowledge of distance, you can then attack in and out at will. You will see some examples of this when you hear "too close, too close" in the video.

These are not choreographed, and real skills are taught in our sessions. 30 seconds might seem like a short time but when you're in it, it feels like a crazy cardio workout.

If lightsaber combat is what you're passionate about, join us every sunday! We guarantee you'll work up a sweat. www.thesaberauthority.com
